Health Savings Accounts -- the real story

The Commonwealth Fund's Sara Collins raked health savings accounts over the coals in her excellent testimony to the Senate Finance Committee earlier this week. One fascinating tidbit: 44 percent of privately insured adults with deductibles of $1,000 or more avoid getting necessary health care or prescriptions because of the cost, compared with 25 percent of adults with deductibles under $500.
